Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Officer will be responsible for managing various projects within our Canadian and U.S. facilities.
Job Description
More specifically, he or she will be responsible for:
- Actively participating in the management and execution of projects in Canada and the United States; *
- Introducing and deploying new machinery and automation technologies to optimize processes;
- Contributing to the launch and implementation of new production sites;
- Analyzing and improving operational production processes, identifying efficiency opportunities and implementing concrete solutions;
- Providing technical and strategic support to our Lambton Doors subsidiary;
- Being willing to travel to the United States to supervise and support ongoing projects.
* This is a permanent, full-time position at our Sherbrooke facility.

You are the person we are looking for if you have the following skills & qualities:
- College diploma (DEC) or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in project management or a related field;
- Being structured, rigorous, autonomous, and results-oriented;
- Having an analytical mind and the ability to solve complex problems;
- Having change management skills (validation, communication, monitoring, etc.);
- Proficiency in MS Office, with particular expertise in Excel;
- Knowledge of new technologies;
- Interest in IT (an asset);
- Ability to travel to the United States (approximately once a month);
- Fluency in French/English (oral and written).*

Job description
Reporting to the Head of the Projects Department, the Project Officer will be responsible for various improvement projects at our Sherbrooke facility and towards new North American markets.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work in collaboration with the various departments to target improvement needs;
- Analyze the feasibility and benefit of the planned projects, suggest solutions and evaluate the various possibilities, prioritize and implement the chosen improvements, ensure the sustainability of the projects put in place;
- Actively participate in the launch of new production sites (Mainly in the United States, but also in Canada)
- Look for innovative solutions that take into account the strong growth of the company in a context of labor shortage.
SKILLS SOUGHT
- Technical DEC or bachelor’s degree in mechanical / civil / industrial engineering or equivalent;
- 5 to 10 years of industry experience;
- Knowledge of building mechanics;
- Available for frequent travel in North America;
- Knowledge of Autocad and Solidworks drawing software;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
- Knowledge of sheet metal is an asset;
- Fluency in IT and business management modules (ERP) is an asset;
- Bilingual English / French;
