DE LA FONTAINE, designated in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 for the prestigious distinction of Best Managed Companies in Canada, is looking for an Engineering Supervisor to join its dynamic team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager , the Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the team and the engineering work. He/she will work closely with the order processing, production and sales teams, with the aim of increasing the efficiency and quality of engineering work, while optimizing information and manufactured products.

Job description:
More specifically, he or she will be responsible for:

Ensuring the quality and delivery of engineering work on time;
Integrating, train and coach designers by transmitting good practices to them and developing their skills;
Regularly communicating performance and quality indicators (KPIs) to the engineering team;
Optimizing manufacturing methods and processes in order to improve our products and designs;
Supporting continuous improvement and efficiency within the team;
Developing expertise in the field of doors, frames and hardware (DHI) industry;
Participating in the strategic direction of the company.

You are the person we are looking for if you have the following skills & qualities:

DEC in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience;
5 to 10 years of experience in mechanical design;
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Solidworks drawing software;
Advanced knowledge in sheet metal or tooling;
Knowledge of the MS Office suite with expertise in Excel;
Bilingual English/French*
