The Production Supervisor position may be for you!
YOUR ROLE:
More specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for:
Operations Management
- Supervise the daily activities of a production sector;
- Ensure production objectives are met in terms of safety, quality, deadlines, and efficiency;
- Plan, organize, and coordinate the team’s work according to operational priorities;
- Optimize the use of labor, equipment, and available resources;
- Ensure operational continuity and the rapid resolution of operational issues.
- Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
- Use performance indicators and available operational reports to identify gaps and implement necessary corrective actions;
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities aimed at increasing efficiency, productivity, and quality;
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives;
- Ensure compliance with operational standards and best practices;
- Contribute to optimizing work methods and production processes.
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise, motivate, and support a team of approximately 20 to 30 unionized employees;
- Ensure required competencies and training levels are maintained to support operations;
- Coach employees and foster a positive, respectful, and high-performing work environment;
- Clearly communicate priorities, objectives, and expectations;
- Promote employee engagement, accountability, and development.
YOU ARE THE PERSON WE’RE LOOKING FOR IF YOU HAVE:
- Relevant supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment;
- Strong leadership skills and excellent team management abilities;
- A strong results-oriented mindset focused on efficiency and continuous improvement;
- The ability to analyze situations, make decisions, and solve problems;
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities;
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
- Knowledge of structured manufacturing environments (an asset).
