DE LA FONTAINE, designated in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 for the prestigious distinction of Best Managed Companies in Canada, is looking for an Order Supervisor who will report to the Order Manager.

The Order Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the Order Processing Specialist team. He/she will work closely with the engineering, production and sales teams. His/her main objectives will be to increase the efficiency and quality of data processing as well as to simplify internal data entry processes.

Job description: 

More specifically, he or she will be responsible for:

• Delivering orders on time up to schedule according to the parameters of the DLF business model;
• Supporting the order planning/opening team;
• Communicating with customers to confirm delivery time expectations;
• Communicating quality and performance indicators to the order entry team (KPI), on a regular basis;
• Supporting the integration and training of specialists, in terms of skills and good work practices;
• Managing projects to improve and simplify office working methods;
• Developing expertise in the field of doors, frames and hardware (DHI) industry;
• Participating in the strategic direction of the company;
• All other related tasks.

You are the person we are looking for if you have the following skills and qualities:

• Technical DEC or bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or administration or equivalent;
• 5 to 10 years of experience in the field of commercial construction and/or planning and/or management in the manufacturing field;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
• Knowledge/comfort with integrated management software packages (SAP, Dynamics, ERP, etc.);
• Be organized and have great team spirit;
• Have good analytical reasoning, personal discipline and a desire for accomplishment;
• Be results and customer service oriented;
• DHI (door and hardware institute) expertise, an asset;
• Bilingual English/French*.

* This position requires frequent communication with our company’s customers, who are predominantly American.
