System and Network Administrator

POSITION DETAILS:

On-site position in Sherbrooke.

YOUR ROLE:

Reporting to the IT team, you will:

• Plan and execute preventive maintenance
• Monitor and administer IT systems (servers, network, virtualization, storage, backups)
• Ensure availability and performance of critical systems
• Manage inter-site connectivity (VPN, performance, security)
• Maintain telephony, access control, and alarm systems
• Deploy and support SQL Server environments
• Administer security solutions (FortiGate, VPN, ZTNA, etc.)
• Manage access, identities, and security policies
• Lead IT projects from A to Z
• Structure processes, standards, and documentation
• Identify and implement continuous improvements
• Ensure proper functioning of IT equipment in the plant
• Understand operational challenges on the production floor
• Provide Level 2–3 technical support
• Administer Azure and Microsoft 365
• Ensure integration between cloud and on-premise systems

YOU ARE THE IDEAL CANDIDATE IF YOU HAVE:

• College diploma (DEC) or bachelor’s degree in IT (or equivalent)
• 10 to 12 years of relevant experience
• Experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment
• Experience managing IT projects

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• VMware (vSphere) and virtualization
• Windows Server & Active Directory
• SQL Server (configuration and T-SQL)
• Networking (LAN/VLAN, routers, Wi-Fi, firewalls)
• Azure & Microsoft 365
• Fortinet (FortiGate, VPN, network security)
• Inter-site VPN / SD-WAN (asset)
• Advanced technical support (Level 2–3)

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

LANGUAGES:

• Bilingual French/English (spoken and written)*
