DE LA FONTAINE, designated in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 for the prestigious distinction of Best Managed Companies in Canada, is looking for a Logistics Planner who will report to the Logistics Manager. They will be at the heart of production operations and will collaborate on the shipping of DE LA FONTAINE products.

Job Description:

More specifically, the Logistics Planner will be responsible for:

  • Planning production orders for the Sherbrooke plant;
  • Monitoring the daily production workload, by product type;
  • Working in collaboration with the Order Coordinator;
  • Participating in various customer and production follow-up meetings;
  • Making necessary production adjustments (postponing or advancing orders);
  • Notifying the Logistics Coordinator of changes and validating shipping feasibility;
  • Tracking credit orders;
  • Handling various customer service requests;
  • Performing all other related tasks.

Permanent, full-time, daytime, in-person position.

You are the person we are looking for if you have the following skills & qualities:

  • You have a High school diploma or relevant training;
  • You enjoy being hands-on;
  • You have a good learning ability;
  • You enjoy teamwork;
  • You are comfortable with Microsoft Office, especially Excel;
  • You are able to manage priorities;
  • You have the ability to learn and understand manufacturing processes (on-site training);
  • You are bilingual English and French;
  • You have a training in logistics and transportation (an asset);
  • You have knowledge of customs clearance (an asset);
  • You have experience in warehouse receiving/shipping (an asset).
